It's the food grade DE from Perma-Guard. They carry 2lb bags for garden use but will special order a 50lb bag if you ask. The price may vary depending on how much they order but mine came out to $39.50 with tax.

They also carry chicken feed and grit in bulk or by the 50lb bag.

Note: I don't work for them, just happy to have finally found DE in my area.

Do they carry the Perma Guard or the Red Lake Earth brand? I found RLE the last time I was at Fleet Farm but didn't get it. It's me being picky and not wanting to color the hens brown...

Off topic: How are your Serama's doing in the cold? I'm thinking about hatching some in the spring....

The redlake brand is at fleet farm ( I didn't like the looks of the red stuff either, petersons carries the permaguard. 50 lbs goes a heck of a long way lol. I am still working on my first bag.

The seramas are just fine in the house. It got too cold in the garage for them so I brought them in, they live in the office for now probably until spring. You will fall in love with the breed if you do decide to hatch some. They are such sweeties!
