They look healthy and maybe they would appreciate a wooden roost to sit on, just to get off the cold ground and get some rest during the day.

Agreed. Most chickens don't feel safe sleeping on the ground and that will stress them out. They like to be up higher where they feel safe from predators.

With my own pullets I noticed some more watery droppings a few days before they started laying activity. So maybe that was the big red one and you will find her egg in the nest soon.

The problem is that my brother watched Peebles poop that poop, and Dionne (the RIR) hasn't laid in a bit.

As already suggested by @MissE , you could stop feeding them the cracked corn and see if it helps.
