It’s truly bizarre I finally just let the Marans coop just do there thing there are 13 broodys in there, should have a bunch of chicks plus there is another Marans outside sitting on a hidden cash of eggs forgot about her.

Do you make a special place for them in your coop to hatch the chicks?

I normally put them in dog crates when I have one or two but with this strange gang broody thing I just let them do there thing in the coop. I have never left them in the coop like this before always made a nest in the cages added the eggs then put the broody in the cage in the evening with water and food.

What will you do with all those chicks?!?
Or maybe they each only have a few?

Yes they will be pretty close to the same time. I will keep some and process the rest to eat. I have never seen anything like it.

What kind of Marans.....cock is a Marans too?

They are all black copper Marans including the cock. Half of them are Greenfire Farms and the other half are from a guy down the road not sure of the lineage of them, the cock is Greenfire.

Buff #1 was let out of broody jail last night. She went out to do chicken things and then went to the normal roost and spent the night. This morning she is out and about. That was 4 days in broody jail. Now the other 3 need to stop. They are not happy in their jail.
