Four ladies given to me.

I think I have found one of the reasons this woman wanted to get rid of them! Every thing scares them to death! Except me. I’ve not had chickens so use to people but scared of everything else. They jump and squawk and run into everything. Over a dog bark, car drives by anything. The one blue girl keeps jumping and flying straight into the coop wall. Just walking it but will walk right up to me. I don’t get it.

they'll be fine, it's just because they are unused to the surroundings.

Their probably scared. Chickens don't like change. They were just re-homed into a completely different environment, new flock mates, new people, new coop.....its understandable that they are jumpy. Give them a few weeks and they should be fine. They are really beautiful! You are so lucky.

Well I went out this morning to check on them and they are much calmer. I went ahead and snuck them in early this morning and the seemed fine with everyone. All scratching around basically ignoring each other. One cuddled right up to my rooster. So we shall see.
