Hello,
I have a four week old Americauna chick who is quite a bit smaller than my others (another Americauna, 2 Buff Orpies and 2 Gold Wyandottes). She is eating, but she picks at her food and doesn't chow down steadily like her sisters. She has food in her crop when I feel it. She is alert, her eyes are bright, and she is very curious. She has had watery droppings with some green solid matter in them for about a week. No blood in droppings. She is feathering out and developing normally but just quite small and does not act sick at all. Any ideas, and how much should I worry? Is she just a picky eater and/or late bloomer? I withheld all treats from them for a couple of days after this started as I thought she might have eaten too much lettuce, but that had no effect. I have given them fresh spinach and lettuce in small amounts as treats and they have grazed in their outdoor pen on warm days. The others have normal droppings. Many thanks for any thoughts on this.
