I realize I've told a bit of my story about the beginning of my chicken journey, but haven't really spoken much about the very reason I'm even here! The chickens!!! In my intro post (Feb. '25) I listed all the breeds I ordered, but that's not quite how it panned out. I lost the only Cochin during shipping, and one of two Fauvacana's due to an unfortunate case of FTT . The hatchery also informed me of a lower hatch than expected for their Lavender Orps, so they sent an extra BLR Wyandotte. That leaves me to introduce [pictures will be added later - I have to replace my phone...sometime soon ig ] :

Oof. Needing a second cup of coffee this morning - I was up all night with "Poult #3". I did my last check-in on the bitties for the night last night (was cleaning up construction mess prior to this & everyone was 100% normal) and found the poor little one laying splayed on its side. I thought it passed! Grabbed him out & almost dropped him as soon as I did, it was very much alive and something was very wrong...couldn't stand/spun in loppy side circles, gasping, & unable to hold its head up without shaking uncontrollably. I didn't see or feel any sign of injury, I witnessed it eating/drinking just fine up until this point...and they're 3 weeks old. I had "GroGel" from ordering my flock back in May and some eggs from my wonderful, wonderful neighbor, so I got a yolk & a tinnnyyy bit of the gel mixed up and meticulously fed it along with any hope I could muster...kept it warm in my lap - expecting the worse. Low & behold - 7 hours later, its chirping, walking & stable. I put him back with his buddies & said good luck, knowing I could very well be wrong about its sudden survival... Well...this mornings first & very groggy, anxious check-in....HE'S ALIVE! Acting 100% normal like he wasn't about to cross the Styx not even 12 hrs earlier! I am amazed but still anxious he's gonna flop on me . Wish me luck!

Did he maybe have wry neck and the GroGel contains what he needed to help him correct?

Sorry if that is totally off base lol, I'm very new to chicks and know even less about turkeys. But I'm really glad he's doing better!
