Fowl Pox & babies to hatch soon

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for reading my post. I believe my flock has dry fowl pox. I have some eggs under a broody hen that shoul hatch in the next couple of days. Do you recommend that I vaccinate them at 1 day old? Other suggestions for the newly hatched chick's?

I also have 6 3.5 week olds. Their mamma hen does appear to have the pox.

I wouldnt recommend vaccinating due to the fact your 6 3.5 year olds have most likely been exposed already from the mama hen. The broody hen may or may not be infected and may pass it to your newly hatched chicks (when they hatch). I would just observe all of them and see what happens. There's not much you can do if they have it, it'll have to run its course. Perhaps you could seperate the 6 3.5 year olds and their mama from the broody hen and eggs or visa versa, if the broody hen doesnt have it yet.
