Hello,
I have recently noticed a lesion on my Old English Game Bantam, Solomon. However, one of my previous hens (Both over the 5 month "Worry zone" Of showing Mareks symptoms-though I know that may not be helpful--) had these lesions on them. I think hers may have been a malignant thing, It was quite large, covering a whole wing almost, and it felt hot and pusy, like an abscess. But We used proper biosecurity measures (again, probbaly not the most helpful with them being on the same farm). But now by best buddy on the farm has a small lesion on his neck like under the feathers. He's been acting a little off, and I really don't want to lose him. So i figured I'd seek an opinion from you guys, see what you believe. So far it's only the one lesion, but it's black and scaby. I know he was vaccinated for Mareks, but I'm also aware of the fact that the vaccine is never 100% in preventing it.

(I'm working on getting pics, probably will come later in the day today when I bathe him.)

Thanks for any info.

Edited to Add:

I went out today to bathe him and found another lesion. It was kinda puffy, but in the same general area. then I wound up looking at his neighbor, our big, crabby delaware cock, Jose, and he has the smaller black scabby things on his comb. When I was bathing Solomon, part of the scab on one flaked off and started bleeding. (I'm a little woozy when it comes to that stuff, but I fared well for my brave little boy who didn't even flinch.) I put him in a big rabbit cage from when I had a Mini Rex, and lined the cage with straw. I put some Antibiotic cream on both of the lesion things, and put his food and water with him. I also remember my dad saying that he was gasping or gaping the other day, almost like he had gapeworm, but not as bad. Could it possibly be wet pox? Does that form lesions on the skin too? Or could it be both? He has been relatively healthy, and I'm hoping I caught it quick enough to take him to fair this year. But I don't want him infecting all the birds there. Can I give him Antibiotics, or should I just let it run its course? I'm currently just keeping him comfortable. His poop is normal.

Here are some pix:
This is the first one I noticed.

This is the first one I noticed, the one that kinda flaked off when I was bathing him.

This is the one I only just now noticed while bathing. It's slightly larger, but I'm hoping that he'll be okay.

This is his neighbor, the crabby butt, Jose. I'm not sure if those black things are pox or scabs from the wire, because he's been alone and sorta runs his comb along the wire. but a past roo, who was running with the hens had almost the same thing going on.

Anyone have any suggestions? he kinda pecks at food, but not with as much gusto as expected. And like I said before, this little rooster means the world to me. There are only 2 avian vets in the area, one in plover and one in appleton. I don't have my liscense, meaning my parents would have to take him, and myself, and I'm not sure how happy they would be about it, especially considering the fact that we were going to sell him after fair. But I don't even have the heart do do that. Even though I'm going back to college in the fall, I'm going to miss him being at home.
