Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose whether this is dry fowl pox or not, pictures below. I had 3 chickens, the hen below has is the worse, and the other two seem to have a few smaller spots. Their energy seems fine, eating/drinking, and haven’t seen any bumps in their mouths.

We’ve had some pretty extreme weather shifts in Southern California and have an open air coup, so it’s definitely likely they’ve been bit by mosquitoes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!

Yes, it is fowl pox. The area on the bottom of the wattles, though might be injury. Pox lasts a few weeks, and usually goes away without treatment. It can spread through the flock over a few months though from mosquitoes and shed scabs. This is a good article about pox with pictures:

Thank you so much! The article is super helpful. I’ll definitely keep an eye on the bottom of the wattles as well. We have had some irritable/broody ladies lastly so maybe a pecking injury.

That looks just like how my girls looked as they were coming down with it. ugh. I wonder if it is possible for them to get lesions on their legs too? The one girl who has it the worst, also has a few pox looking bumps on her legs as well as all over her comb, ears and wattles. Poor thing was going crazy with itching so I treated her today with the iodine dabbed on the sores and some campho phenique on her legs and more iodine on the leg lesions. She isn't scratching as much now so I hope it helps her.
