fox and neighbor's dogs

My daughter has seen a fox living in one of our brush piles. We also have a neighbor with 5-6 dogs.
I would like to be sure our chicken coop will be safe at night. If I line it with the 2x4" wire mesh fencing will that be strong enough?
Any other suggestions?

When you say wire mesh, are you talking about chicken wire or welded wire? The foxes and dogs can easily get through the chicken wire. You will need to bury some fencing too because foxes and dogs are good diggers. You may need a top also because of hawks, coons, opossums, etc.

We are using Welded wire fence for horses called field fence. We have used regular welded wire fence for our 4 dogs and they were able to bend it, get out. The horse field fence is little more pricy but alot stronger. We have our goats in it and they have been just fine also had horse in it. Plan on putting coop inside of that as well.

electric fencing is the best way to go, and is really not that expensive

if they let their dogs wander into your property, why would you want to be in decent terms with them?​
