They’re supposed to have variegated leaves! And the fruits start out striped before ripening to a solid red. I just hope they’ll be spicy enough, I’m used to cayenne.
I've never grown anything but the green and red bell peppers.

Has anyone grown jalapenos? I like to make jalapeno poppers, but I bought them at the farmer's market. Maybe you could do that with these peppers?

I have grown jalapenos but they didn't get really big. The year I planted my cayenne peppers in a different area of the yard they were extreme in production. I have to wonder that with the name fish pepper if they would have a fish taste. Let me know what they taste like because I might try those next year. I did manage to get some Tai chillis the year before last. Everyone said oh no you can't eat those. I didn't know any difference of the heat or taste.

First bean bloom of the year! (With a cameo from a potato.)

I tried growing some jalapeno from a hot pepper blend seed packet. I only got one pepper off of it and it didn’t have viable seeds so I haven’t tried growing them again.

Poppers sounds like an interesting idea though. 🤔

I think it’s because they were commonly used on fish as a spice, but I will keep you posted!
