Two of our rhode island red ladies got nabbed by a grey fox this morning. They both survived, one with two small puncture wounds on the underside of her wing and the other with a skin laceration on her rear behind her leg. I have cleaned the wounds with some hydrogen peroxide and applied some neosporin to the effected areas. My main concern at this point is infection as the are both alert, moving around okay and they both layed today after the attack. Does anyone know if there are any "over-the-counter" oral antibiotics that can help stave off infections? Should I continue to apply neosporin daily? If so for how long? Any information and/or advice is much appreciated.

Thanks for the link, it proved to be quite helpful. Unfortunately, when I went to clean and treat the wound on the big gal last night I noticed a wing bone protruding from her skin. Not good! There was much swelling and black/blue discoloration around the site. My wife and I decided to take her to a local bird vet to be checked out as we have no idea how to proceed from here. Thanks again for your input.
