Fox attack side affects

One of my chickens was attacked by a fox, it survived as well as a few of it friends- 4 didn't. I was wondering if it had got a disease. It is like a balloon on one side of its body, where i think a fox scratched it, although it is only small, dosen't even draw blood. Any ideas

I imagine this is a result of an injury, not a disease that the fox carried. You may need to drain an abscess, or let air out of an abnormal air compartment.

if its an abcess from a bite you will feel a small soft spot when its ready to incise. this is a painful procedure and not for the unsure. it could besomething else too. I would watch it and wait,these things can take care of themselves or take the crittr to someone who knows.
is the 'baloon' hard or soft, full of fluid or air orblood? need alot more info. is there pain with palp?

The chicken, my baby silkie!!! its 'balloon' part is soft, not rock hard and I think full of air, or maybe fluid. When i pick it (don't know if girl or boy yet) I hold and carefully, but you hear a noise like a balloon draining from its air or a quiet really slooppy poo coming out from the chicken, I check its bottom area, but nothing has came out, so more like a 'chicken fart'???????

Thanks--- I don't know to take it to the vet or leave it until saturday.

The areas all ready bare, hasn't really d=grown feathers under its wings yet. I will try get a picture, but it looks just like a normal bird, its only when you pick it up.
