Fox attack

Fox and coon tracks do not look at all alike. And I agree, foxes do not group to hunt. More than likely coyotes. Either way, its a shame, and I'm sorry for you. I'm after a fox, too. I'm sure its a fox, because we saw him. I don't know the first thing about trapping, so any advice would be appreciated.

redchicken where are you at eastern pa, if your close to me i may be able to catch your problem there.

Fox do run in small groups, I'm a trapper for years Ive seen it before. The pups will normally disperse from the den when mom kicks them out.
but sometimes those pups will travel together for some time before they find a place of there own.

fox dont normally go on a killing spree..sounds more like mink, wesels possibly, but thats not to say a fox wouldnt do it..

your a bit to far for me, wish you where closer to me i would take care of your problem real quik for you.., but if you want i may be able to hook you up with a fellow trapper down your way as when next season would open they could clean some of the pests out for you..

The Thing is the legal fox season has closed at this time.

But if i was you i would set a trap or 2 as what ever it was may be back for more. You have the legal right to protect your flock in what ever way you have to...

Sorry for your loss, i know how it feels as i lost a few pheasant one time and it made me very sad and then angry ...
set 10 traps and Caught a total of 32 racoons in a single square mile of my farm. Problem solved..Havent had a lost bird for over 4 years.
