Well a fox attacked on of my Guinea this afternoon. I heard all of them making a racket and saw him being attacked from the window. I yelled out the window, grabbed the shotgun and ran outside.
Lots of feathers! No fox. But the Guinea was alive but missing lots of feathers and bloody. He joined all the others in the coop tonight, drank and ate a little food. Looks really bad. Bleeding looks like it stopped and hope he makes it through the night. I set up traps and all the flock will be in lock down tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I'm so sorry

Hope you have good news for us.

Went out to the coop this morning and he was still alive. Drinking water and eating a little. No more bleeding. Went out again after lunch and he was dead. I am guessing he lost too much blood in the initial attack and may have went into shock. Looked him over and did not see any cuts, but he lost about a third of his feathers. Did not catch the fox in the traps and will leave everyone in lock down tomorrow. Hopefully the fox will be in one of the traps in the morning. At least he got to die with his buddies and not with the fox.
