Fox Lake, IL considers "Chicken Ordinance"

Please help spread the word among 'backyard chicken lovers' that the Village of Fox Lake, IL will have an open hearing on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, 6:30 at the Village Hall to consider a proposed ordinance allowing backyard chickens. I expect the usual negatives to be raised by opponents and hope there will be some supporters there to help balance the scales. I don't know where else to post this info.

The public hearing to get input is scheduled for Oct. 3. The board will vote on it after that.

We too in Papillion NE have a open forum to add a chicken ordinance on Sept 18th too! With the vote coming in early Oct. Best of luck to you as well.
