Fox problems

Wiring it self is difficult to setup for repelling foxes. I ignore is value for such. Fencing can be set back from stream and heavy vegetation. My electrified areas are setup so structures do not interfere with desired straight lines in perimeter. Additionally, I grew up around electric fencing getting zapped many times. No lasting damage despite not learning how step over high enough or crawl low enough under every time, especially during winter and after dark. My current setup also challenged with yard ape management (eldest 19 months). He and an his younger sister will get zapped eventually and more than once to be sure but I also turn off fence while I am out to limit such lessons. Its when neighbor kids come over you got to watch out. Then kids get stupid playing with fencing like they sometimes do with fire or licking very cold flag post during winter.

Yeah, I grew up around electri fences and got zapped too. I'm not worried about my four year old. She'd get warned, get zapped, and learn really quickly. Even my two year old would probably immediately figure it out. Much more worried about the just barely one year old who would probably get zapped repeatedly and be confused by it, We're going to have to figure out some sort of long term solution here.... For now getting rid of the fox is first priority. Then we'll try to figure out some sort of long term pest management strategy.
