Foxes take away my joy of keeping chickens.

Don’t kill foxes. Yes they eat chickens and steal livestock but it’s their nature, and if you think about it, you’re just making dinner easy to them. Wherever you are there are most likely places that will take the fox if you set up a HARMLESS trap. You could use some kind of boar trap (I’ve been very successful with them) and trap the fox then carefully transport or release it somewhere far away in the woods. You could also reach out to someone to see if they will take the fox and rehome it. Just please don’t kill foxes, we’re running out of them.

Transporting predators off your property is ILLEGAL in my state. Foxes travel miles, no one has miles of property here, it ill just show back up at your coop the next day. And good luck finding someone who wants a fox you have trapped. Best plan is to make it impossible for the fox to get to your chickens.

What my grandma used to do is literally create a moat, all around her coop. The only way to get to it was through a small gap that had those cow foot bars that you had to walk on. As crazy as it sounds, it worked. I doubt anyone will go as far as creating a whole lake around their coop but who knows. Just thought I’d throw that out there lmao. My best advice though? Get some scary looking dogs.

I know a few sources that will take the fox...Local fur trapper for one probably wouldn't say no to a free pelt, even with fur prices being low...Certain hunting dog folks for two...
"SSS" works in any part of the world. :thumbsup
If the First S isn't going to raise alarm, and the third S is adhered to...

um that is pretty illegal to relocate and it pretty much just kills the animal a very cruel death in relocating.
