Freaking Out My Friends

I have had shoulder length or longer hair since I got married, almost 16 years ago.

In the past I have had certain lengths taken of for Locks Of Love. I have a goal for around 9 donations.
Found out a family friend has their cancer recurring, so to honor this person I went intoday and had 10 inches removed.
I went from past shoulder length to a pixie cut.
This is #4.

Ran into 3 people I know and they all did double takes.

I have done the same...26" donated. My sister donatede 14". We did it for my Aunt who was suffering breast cancer.

I've done that a few times as well. A few years ago I donated about 16in. It went from almost at my waistband to chin-length. It is back down to my waistband again but I am going to keep growing it for a while longer. I'm sure I will be donating again in the next couple years, I just don't want to go as short as I did last time... my neck was too cold!

I've donated 52 inches so far.
My goal is 100 inches, but I rilly rilly like my hair short.

If it Freaks out your friends, it should really confuse your enemies!

My friends son is doing this - his hair is enormous poof after a year - will be cutting time soon, and he will have to show his ID all over town as no one will believe it is him!

I think I have donated 48-50 inches so far. working on another 12 this year

That is FABULOUS! I haven't been able to do that because I guess my hair grows slowly. Plus I have grey hair (I'm 46), so I don't know if anyone would want my hair.......

Such a nice thing to do though!

I'm hoping mine will be long enough soon, (it's about 3 inches from my wait now, don't know the exact measurments) I'd love to get to donate someday.
