I've got twenty some odd chickens, different breeds, different ages and stages of life. They all have normal feet except one. This gal has freakishly long talons. Quite frankly I'm not sure how she walks. Is this a normal thing? Are we supposed to trim their nails?

Normally, their nails don't need to be trimmed. If your hen can walk normally and is not causing harm to herself or others, you can leave her nails alone. If she walks differently from the other hens, you can trim them to see if that helps her.

People claim that they never have to do their chickens nails. I try to since mine get ones so long they break and then they bleed. (They're kept on the ground, there's no reason they don't wear down but they don't). I trim them for certain before the cold comes since I get more missing nails if i don't
