Freddie, the RSL

I have 3 red sex link girls in my mixed flock. Sue is the head honcho of everyone, Scotty is my lap sweetie, then there is Freddie.


"Who, me?"

Freddie is 50 pounds of personality in a 5 pound body. She's loud, bossy to the other girls (except Sue), eats like a pig as you can see from the yogurt encounter and gets into everything.


"Hey girls, I found our treat!"

Her favorite seat when she's outside? DH's lawn chair.


"I call dibs!"

Her favorite trick? Pecking me then running away (I don't have a picture of that, I'm usually trying to stop the bleeding, lol).


"I'll just wait until she isn't looking"

She is a good looking girl though and her eggs are huge and come almost daily.


"Freddie's egg on the left"


Freddie can be a handful but she's a fun member of my flock and I wouldn't trade her for anything!

I've never had a RSL, but I've heard nothing but good about their sweet personalities. Sounds like your baby girl is no different.

She sounds a lot like my "BO" Lillie - remember for whom I had to get the Bully Blaster out?

You have given me an insight into why my Lillie became a jailbird last fall - supposed to be BO but always darker, louder and bolder than the others - bet she is a RSL + BO mix for sure.
