I have one young rooster or cockerel looking for a new home. He is 21 weeks old (hatched Aug. 22nd) and the youngest 'roo of our flock. Hand-raised in a brooder and has grown up with an established mixed flock. So far, he's been respectful and calm but has not yet reached his full maturity. He sneaked by my last round of freezer stocking, and is just one too many to keep around. I can't tell you his breed, but he could be a mixture of primarily Barred Plymouth Rock and Black Australorp. All of the breeding roosters in my flock are good boys - attentive, protective, and gentle with the hens. One mile west of Richmond. Message me for more info.

Update: He found a home tonight, and was lucky to bring along three of his fellow hatchling pullets - to a couple who lost nearly all their flock this year to neighborhood dogs and one persistent raccoon. I'm happy I don't have to slaughter a good rooster, in spite of losing three layers with him. :)
