Someone local to me is offering up a few FREE birds.....but they are not vaccinated.

Any idea how much that would cost per bird??

I have 5 pretty happy Gals right now but wouldnt mind adding a few new birds, especially for no charge...if they are treated.

Any suggestions? Is this a BAD idea for any reason?

TY!!!

I have found that when someone give away "free" there could already be a problem with them. Just be very careful.

I gave away a few FREE birds and there was nothing wrong with them. I just didn't have the space for them. One was a roo and I'm not able to keep roo....was supposed to be a sexed pulet. Now I'm hatching chicks and can only keep 4 of them so I will again give away any extras that hatch. That said is it always a good idea to be careful. Sorry I have no idea about the price of the shot. I do belive you can buy them thru the internet though.

call the local vet and ask how much they would charge...do they look healthy, red combs/waddles, feathers look good, do you know how old they are?
