Free chick from McMurray

Gingersnap they are exhausted just from eating lol plus I been making them eat grow chick green gel lol. I'm in tarpon springs

kfarrell, yay!

Christie, I got 4 Columbian Wyandotte females this time and they are adorable!! Haven't had any of the others.

Wendy, I'm in Plant City. Kudos to your fiance', he sounds awesome, like my hubby!

I'm quite certain mine was a Silver Laced Polish, mine hatched 2/7. Mine was dead by the next morning. Not really sure why.. everyone else was and is thriving. It was somewhat smaller than the rest, but not terribly so.
I got a gold lace polish he/she was the weakest of the bunch and went down hill fast I gave a dropper of a little sugar water and thought I would find it dead by morning but to my surprise it was up and running around eating and drinking It is much smaller than the rest now and somebody must have stepped on it's little leg because it was not putting any weight on it. after a few days it is putting weight on it and walking around I swear it must have 9 lives! So sorry you lost yours

Thanks, I don't like to lose animals, but it's not a breed I would have wanted anyways. I hate to sound that way but I was semi-forced (lol, Grandma decided she was done and we all still want fresh eggs) into chickens, and prior to getting them was a professed NON chicken lover. So, the polish ones kinda creep me out anyways, lol. I still feel bad about it though!

Lol, I think the polish ones are so cool. I didn't even consider them until my free chick from McMurray was a polish one. This time around I ordered polish hens and roosters.

P.S. my hubby always wanted chickens and I always said no way! I fought it for years, lol. Finally I gave in and now I LOVE them!!! We're turning the old horse and goat stalls into chicken coops and I couldn't be more thrilled!

Lol, well I'm pretty sure I'm turning into a chicken lover with these babies so, we'll see how bad it gets =P We're already up to 26 (from the original 5-10 planned) because of order limit from McMurray!

I added 4 more polish today one of each color ..urs are adorable

When I ordered my first batch from MMM, I only ordered two Golden Polish to help fill the numbers. I'm glad I did because now I'm hooked! I have a Black Polish named Ravyne that's about two years old, and I had a Buff that I loved, if only she wasn't flighty... So I'm going to order more Polish later this year. I found a breeder of Tolbunts that's kind of close, I'm buying from too. They are making a special pure hatch just for me. I can't wait! :) I'm not addicted to Polish...

I would say you have been bitten by the chicken bug. ;)

I keep going to Tractor Supply to scour their chicks, and I have some eggs in the Incubator peeping (tomorrow is hatch day). I am feeling a bit over whelmed, but I still want more.
