Free chick from McMurray

They have pretty much kept putting food in their hand since the day we got them. The kids love to hold them and didn't really give them a choice. Now they think that is what they are supposed to do. That is the best way I can explain it, the kids are just very persistent.

Mary Catherine Gallagher jumps into my hand too. Others are starting to do it too now of course lol. Today one of EEs discovered she could use her wings to jump high and landed on the feeder lol.

I love that little pompadour lol she has a black spot on her beak too lol. Also my RIR has a red topper beak lol

Ok, I cleaned out my brooder today and then climbed in with my babies for an hour or so. By the time I was done, they were climbing on me, eating out of my hand and sleeping on my hand. YAY!

P.S. I put them in a box while I cleaned the brooder and some can fly out now. They are getting so big!

I have a whole group of regulars that come over to me..my polish blue Andalusians 1 cucoo maran and now my sick little Delaware runs over and paces back and forth till I give her her meds. Then she squeaks when she's had enuf. She's sdorable :jumpy

Update on my special baby ( should I name her Special K.) lol she's starting to fight me when I give her meds , trying to push me away and using a few choice words lol. She laid down to go I sleep without seizing and that's a first. Seems the tuck and roll happens when she tired the most. She's really doing great!:ya

Lookie what I got this morning!! My "rare breed" is a White Crested Black Polish (you can see his little pouffy head in the left box, top right corner. I think I have another extra chick, but I can't figure out what it is - either a Red Ranger, Easter Egger, or Red Star. There's some very similar coloring going on there (one is the coloring of the RR/RS, but has pale stripes like an EE?)

Anyway, they are all alive and running around, eating and drinking. The Salmon Faverolles are a little unsteady on their feet, but they are shaped totally differently and don't look very well balanced.

We are in chickie heaven. :-D

Awwww congrat!! vitamines and electrolytes! I'm a firm believer now after dealing with wry neck ..poultry drench!
