Not sure if I have the correct forum. I have a female easter egger I need to find a home for.
I got her in December about 8 weeks old when my Silkie passed away. I had another Silkie that was now all alone so I got her a friend. Naturally the Silkie pecked at the EE to show who's boss. Has been going on all this time.
Today the EE was making alot of raucous when I was next door. Came back and found my Silkie in the coop panting alot. Thinking it was the heat, I cooled her off. Went back to check on her and as she flew out of the coop to the outside part of the coop I saw the EE going after her. She was being relentless. The EE is about twice the size of my Silkie. She was terrified and any chance the EE had, she was looking to attack her. That's when I looked around and saw all the Silkie feathers around the coop.
She lays light blue eggs, about 4 or 5 a week. I have pics if anyone is interested. My chickens are pets ONLY, so am looking for a good home for her. Silkie is now in a cage inside the house as I'm afraid of what the EE may do. I'm gone for 12 hours out of the day so hoping to find a home quickly.
