I do not believe that anyone can get his chicken types from a hatchery .

All i can remember is that he had

wyandottes .
light red game
rocks .and something white tip and

when I looked at theses small white ones he didnot say much .

Hi
I went to the breeder to get a hen for my rooster but he was not there . I brought my wife down with me thinking he would show us and name the chickens again.

So looking around for the name of the white chicken ..

I found a chicken that looks like it but the discription is missing about the color of the legs .

that white chicken .

Is this a Chantecler bantam

Oka is not far away from here . where the Chantecler originated

Ok I found out these are game chickens .real expensive game mixed with less expensive game . they come in all colors.

When I went to find out the type .. Turns out he has no more chickens and is keeping his ducks that he has now..he's getting ready for winter

So a bad rooster might try to kill me with its spurs <<<

so .. chicken soup anyone ..ready in three to four weeks ..

Games won't attack people if it isn't in the genetics, or if you were to go about kicking them, or any form of abuse like that i guess they'd hate you as well..

The cocks will only fight other roosters, hens make amazing broodies, and mothers.. Not to mention gamefowl are great foragers

. I love the gamefowl.

Yes, game roosters are not all mean, the fighters are bred and taunted to make them that way. True that some are just like that, but not usually. They are very pretty

My game hen sets and hatches eggs all year round.

Nope, games are never taunted.. It's all in the breeding really, every rooster will fight over territory, dominace, etc.. And with games im just guessing they have a large range, probably larger than you could ever think of i guess since i've heard of roosters running 30-40 feet + at the sound/sight of another rooster... It's just the thing, it's their nature and genetics.. People just bred it so they were "more" game, in my opinion..

This is just based off things i've experienced.. I've been around games my whole live with my great grandfather and down owning them.. Knew plenty of gamefowl owners as well, and researched them as much as i could..

If you like to free range your chickens nothing are better than games. They are quick and alert. Most of the roos wont fight people but dont try to catch a mother hens chicks. They like to roost in trees if given the chance and some of the hens lay their eggs in hidden places. Game chickens are cool! They are great if you live in the country and you just enjoy keeping chickens around not so good if you want egg or meat producers or if you live in town because they can be noisy and can clear a 10 ft fence. Dont try to let 2 or more mature roosters run together.

One of my game hens will 'sacrifice' one of her chicks if something (or someone

) is trying to catch her chicks. Kind of sucks, but it makes sense.
