I am assuming you are all Lord of the Ring Fans, right? He could be named either 1)Gandalf or 2) Strider. Both of these guys were known for protecting and watching over the smaller folks. Strider was also Aragon, but someone I can't see that as a name for a dog, but I guess I toss it in also. Frodo was a wonderful character, but small, as a Gr Pyr/St. Bernard combo is NOT likely to be! My personal favorite is Gandalf. I have wanted to name a dog that for a long time, but with tiny little Italian Greyhounds, it just was not suitable.

Hey, toss in another one, if you have a great name in mind! I just LOVE naming dogs. I think names are very very important and should indicate our hopes and desires for the dog. There is an important reason for every name I have for my dogs. (Not always obvious to a stranger, but I know, and the DOG knows.)
