Are you kidding? You should give it a try. These things are totally maintanance free. All you have to worry about is giving them enough space, as they like to lean. When I plant, I just scratch up the ground a little and give the seeds a fling. If I've never grown that plant before, I also start a couple in a pot so I know what to look for in a seedling.

It is absolutely my pleasure! I'm really pleased in how some unusual plants are thriving. I live in a region where houses are surrounded in (poorly cut) geometrical shrubs and dotted with geraniums, so my garden is sort of a "must see" for my neighbor's visitors.

Do you have some of the Mexican Amaranth left?

If anyone is interested I have some seed from last year.
2 packets of purple millet
1 packet hollhocks, they are old fashioned mixed types
1 packet black squash (I know its late but figured someone might want it)
1 packet shasta daisies

It would be cool to get something in trade for them.
