Free Range chickens need Feed?

Mine free range and we have 4+ acres here. I feed one time in the morning before opening coop. Everyone eats then goes off to range for the good stuff. Usually the will eat a little in morning go range come back at noon to lay and eat some more while there. Then finish it off before going into coop at night. I have 13 and use a plastic pitcher to fill feed dish outside. When we had more it was still the same amount.

Those are also the three times mine usually eat. A little upon getting going in the AM, when they come back to lay and just before bed. How much depends on what they find elsewhere.
