Free range chickens

Experienced folks on here do not recommend allowing chickens access to a pool. They won't just jump in, but if they get startled they can run/fly off and end up in the pool easily, and they will drown quickly.

If your neighbors don't want your chickens on their property then you have no choice but the contain them. Mine wander more than 600 feet for sure. They range over an area about 10 acres.

I've had a pool, and chickens for a little while now, and I've never had one in the pool. Mine is an over ground pool so it's tall. But I can see how it can happen if they get startled, especially if it's an inground pool.
