So after opening the pen that is attached to the coop, the guineas decided that sleeping in the coop wasn't in the cards.. Now, all 8 of my guineas sleep on top of the recently opened pen. Does anyone else have this issue? The coop is plenty big enough for all 8 to roost; I'm worried about the birds being eaten by an owl or something of the like.. Any thoughts on how tO get these guys back into safety? Help!!

I had this problem with some of my chickens. One of them did get eaten by a predator, so we went out every evening and plucked them from their perch and placed them in the coop. Thankfully they got tired of to after a few days and went into the coop by themselves.

Thanks for the reply sumi- I actually tried that earlier, and managed only to send a few birds into the woods for the evening.. I'm worried about the temperature dropping, and whether they'll know to go into the coop when it snows/goes below zero..
