Free Range Help

[N4HHM]

Will free range chicks lay their eggs in the nesting boxes in the coop or will they lay them out away from the coop. I'm looking ahead as they should start laying in a few months. They have the run of the yard and have no problem going into the coop before the door closes. On a side note, Anything that will work that will keep them out of the garage???.

My chickens go back to the coop to lay them, Also they are closed in the coop at night and I don't let them out until 10AM, but on occasion I have found a few elsewhere but not to often. The only way I can keep my chickens out of the garage is to close the garage doors
