free range layers and calves

This time of year we have cattle and calves in the barnyard and its the chickens dream come true! I can't get them in the coop in the evening because they'd rather eat what the cows drop and scratch through their manure. They eventually roost just not when I want them to, which is fine. The roosters and the braver hens play with the curious calves and chase each other around. When it's feeding time for the cattle you should see the chickens run between their legs! It's the kind of thing that I like about living on a farm.

When I try to take some they stop, plus for some very annoying reasons theres a huge broken down RV in the barnyard that sort of detracts from the farm scene lol. I'll see if I can get some this weekend.
