Does any one else have free range/pastured rabbit rabbits?
Ive only been doing it for a few months, but I must say, the rabbits really seem to enjoy it!
I have the fence dug down a foot and the run is covered. The housing is a large dog house.

Anything out of a cage is going to be healthier and happier as well as a cleaner conscious!

I don't have meat rabbits yet, but I'd like for them to have their own "coop" lol.

I really want to do pastured rabbits....I'm hoping my female rabbit will give birth in the next week, and if I can, I hope to move the babies & momma out on some grass @5-6wks old. But, I'm trying not to'' count my chickens before they hatch''.

I've always wondered about ''free-range rabbits''...I've also wondered if a low-voltage electric net fence would hurt a rabbit...hmmm....

I discovered someones "pet" rabbit living under one of my chicken coops about 6 weeks ago. I provide it with water and rabbit pellets and it comes and goes as it pleases. I have seen it in the occupied coop with the chickens, in the empty coop and running all over our property, but it always ends up back under the empty coop. It took a week or so for the hens to accept it, but it seems to enjoy hanging out with the girls and it follows them around as they free range during the day. It seems to have a great sense of humor as it loves to race through the middle of the girls and scatter them, then do a few hops and repeat the scatter game. I love the free entertainment!

We have a tractor that we move. He rarely goes up into his hutch, just hangs out on the grass! Our feed lasts longer than when they were in the house!
