Free range with no fence?

What do you guys think? I have an acre and about 1/3 is fenced, but what do you thinking about letting geese free range outside the fence during the day? Probably not safe but I know some people let their chickens free range without a fence

I free range my ducks they really don't go far. my geese don't free range unless I am home do to there aggression to my ducks. I have three acres . now they all are locked up at night. the biggest fear is hawks during the day. Hope this helps.
