Just out of curiosity,, What breed are your 2 lil renegades??? I only had my golden seabrite flying high into trees. She settled and loved the coop quickly. My other flyers only cleared the fences. My Old English Gamehens are capable, but don't.
The two little renegades are California Greys. This is the second day they have been locked up.
My Old English Game Bantams are excellent fliers. They love to explore everything and we've even seen them on the house roof, but they go into their coop at night. They are very tame and anyone can pick them up and carry them around.

Welcome to the BYC flock! We are glad you joined us!

I agree with the other posters. Lock them in the coop for a few days and place some dummy eggs in the nesting boxes where you want them to lay. Make sure the nesting boxes are lower than their roost and are comfortable for them. Sometimes they also prefer nesting boxes in darker corners so if you can arrange that, that may also help. Good luck!
