Free Range?

If I free range my cage of CreamLegbar......will they come back to roost or head for the trees?. which I have tons of..(trees that is )

Where I lived previously we had a lot of trees. Initially the free range chickens came back to the coop but as time went on some of them started deciding the trees around the barn where their coop was looked pretty good for roosting. So you never know.

Have your chickens been cooped for an extended length of time? If they are "homed" to the coop, they will most likely return. Chickens are creatures of habit. If they start out sleeping in one place, they seldom find somewhere new on their own.
