Can ducks, quails and chickens free range together during the day but stay in different places at night? If it helps, coturnix quail, buff chicken & pekin or khaki campbell ducklings. I'm planning maybe 8 ducks (2 male & 6 female) 15 quail (6 male & 9 female) and 8 hens (all day-old). I don't want any of them to be in the same brooder.

Ducks and chickens can safely free range together. Quail can't free range at all, plus they can get awful diseases from chickens. I don't have ducks or quail, so I am no expert on this. Hopefully someone else can chime in with more details.

Here is a thread you should check out about disease issues from chickens and quail living together: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...ldnt-put-quail-and-chickens-together-update-3

And one about free ranging quail: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/404902/can-you-free-range-quail
The consensus is, if you let them out, they probably won't come back.
It's probably best to free range the chickens and ducks, and then if you want the quail to get the benefits of free ranging, you could make them a tractor that you move daily. Make sure the quail tractor is not where the chickens and ducks go, though.
