free ranging ducks

I agree with this too! We had our dogs first before we got ducks. It just happens to be that we have worked with the dogs since the ducks were babies and they see them as part of the family. (I guess!?) lol For whatever reason it seems to work in the favor of the ducks and my piece of mind. I am always mindful of the fact that they are still dogs. When I am out in the yard I watch for any kind of behavior that may be unwanted and correct it before it becomes something more. So far things have been pretty cohesive.

Mine two pup's happen to be terriers which even the duck vet was surprised to hear that they don't bother the ducks either!

Ducks are creatures of habit. Mine free-range. I built a house late. I suffered some losses. I don't always get the Mallards to the house. I have to put them in before dark or they refuse.

I am learning. Ducks know it all.
