Free ranging Seramas with other chickens?

I have had Silkies for a few years now that have been free ranging during the day. I live in a residental area and have the usual suburban pests. My Silkies love to chase and kill the field mice! I have not had any issues with night creatures as we put them to bed before dusk. There is always the worry of critters from above. I have tried to make my backyard a reflective paradise.

Which brings me to meeting a woman that convinced me Seramas would do well with the Silkies. She indicated that they would watch them and they could all be free range. I have been doing research and have found nothing of the sort.

I have a large coop and we have been slowly introducing the Seramas but am not realizing I may need another coop or I may have inside chickens! You do not see the huge size difference until they are next to each other. My Silkies look like giants (to be fair they are very fluffy).

Has anyone had experience with them together?

I personally have not, but I have been researching seramas in hope of breeding them for a couple of years. I will be getting my first pair in about a month.

It relies on a couple of factors. For one thing, the size of your birds. A larger C class serama (there are multiple sizes, or classes of seramas) will do better outside and with other birds than with a micro or a class serama. If keeping them with silkies, you should have a large B or a C class serama.

Another thing is free ranging. Sermas do better indoors than outdoors, and again, the smaller birds do poorly outside. The larger ones would be okay with silkies outside, but probably if they are kept in a chicken tractor or coop.

Both silkies and seramas are difficult to truly free range, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.
