free ranging till next am

I have let my comets roam right along but on 2 occasions they wander off like last nite and i call and look for hours, Finally i locked up the six that were home and went to bed worried of course. One by one they all came back and safe and sound this am but i don't understand their reasoning.Any ideas?There grounded for a few days to their run!

ya actually i did but got lot of them, hubby and i got stuck in the mud looking thru brush and trees and had to pull friend out of middle of his TG dinner to get us out so ya i did.

And I bet the whole time you were thinking "darned birds! where are you!"
They can be such stinkers.
