Free ranging

Had my chickens in their coop and run for a couple of months now, if I choose to let them free range in the yard when I'm home, will they come back to the coop to roost at night?

I would think by now they have a pretty good idea of where they live . Just make sure you don't let them out and leave as dogs and predators will have a field day . Observe what time they go in the coup and close them up after they are all in so coons and foxes don't get them . Hopes this helps .

Yea we got coyotes and foxes and possums around us. Thankfully haven't had any problems yet. I think the smell of our 4 dogs keeps some at bay. I think I'll try it the next day im off and home all day. Thanks
