Free roaming feed

I have Buff Orpington 17 weeks old.
They free roam all day. Our property has many fruit trees and the chicks eat whichever fruit is ripe on the ground, figs, pomegranates, bananas. They also eat lizards, seeds, grass, etc and growers feed.
My question is, is there a feed for free roaming chickens or are they fed the same feed as caged chickens ?

This time of year when eats are good with lots of protein rich insects, the well fed birds are likely to be wanting energy. When I put out two feeders, one with a complete feed and the other with scratch grains, they generally go after the scratch grains. As the season progresses and the insect forages become less available, they start getting back into the complete diet. During the winter when cold in particular, they can also get partial to the scratch grains when not growing, laying eggs or molting.

Young birds, and these are a larger breed, do best with a grower or all flock ration, free choice, and the free ranging is extra for them. I'd be very reluctant to offer free choice scratch, especially now.

Nutrena makes two feeds for free range Chickens. . .
The higher Protein should complement your Fresh Fruit consuming Buff Orpingtons.
Neither one is available at my local TSC.
My girls only get to Forage for an hour before sunset daily. But I still feed them a higher Protein Poultry feed with 18/20% Protein.
My Chickens eat a lot less feed during the summer. I believe the higher Protein keeps them laying. GC
