I'm not allowed to have them where I live and I head my first crowing this week so I'm sure I have at least 2 Buff Orpington Roos ad a possible Easter Egger (no crowing for him yet) I'm still hoping hes a she. When do roosters grow their spurs can any give me a rough idea?

Anyway... I live on long Island and if anyone is interested maybe we can make arrangements to get them to you Please let me know ASAP Thanks

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry it looks like you have multiple roosters, you might try posting pictures of your EE on the What Breed/Gender forum for help figuring out what you have https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this Generally on EEs with peacombs if you can see three rows of points that is the first thing that gives the boys away, and their combs/wattles get bigger/pinker faster than the girls, male saddle/hackle/tail feathers will start coming in the next couple of weeks, spurs are not a very good way to tell, some hens get them and some roos are a year old before they do. You might want to post in your state thread for local chicken keeping neighbors who might be looking for a roo https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread and you can post Ads in the BST forum after you have 20 posts there is a Free Re-Homing forum there https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/67/buy-sell-trade

Welcome to BYC!

Good luck finding a home for your baby. I hope you can get him into a nice forever home.

Welcome to our flock!

Sadly due to all the regulations for having chickens - there is always a glut of roosters needing homes- since they are not permitted. Sometimes feed stores will take them, or you could put an ad in your local newspaper. The bad thing is you can't tell who really will give them a good home and those that have nefarious reasons for wanting them.

Sometimes its best to put a price(low) to discourage the bad folk who grab anything that is free. Wish I could give you better advice.

Thanks so much I will try the feed stores around. I may need to put out an ad, got some feelers out there I hoping someone will want them.
