First timer here. I think this is the free chick included in my order of 15, as it's the only one with 3 black dots on its head. Any thoughts?

I don’t know of any red breeds with dots on their head but since MM’s Whiting True Green are varying shades of red I am going to guess that is what it is.

It's been about 6 weeks so this chicks features have started to emerge. I'd this a cochin? Can anyone tell sex?

The pictures of the older bird are a Buff Cochin cockerel. However in the original picture I do not see feathered legs on the chick. Are you sure the photos are of the same bird?

Maybe not we had 3 orpingtons and this +1 and they all looked the same. I don't think we noticed any feathered legs on the chick until maybe a week?

Just my luck on the straight run. What's the identifying characteristic on sex? The comb? Unfortunately my wife loves the cochin, but we're not allowed to keep them past 6 months or something.

Thank you. The other birds have some comb but maybe not as pronounced as this guy.
