I had hatched 8 eggs this summer, and it looks like 6 are black runner drakes. Unfortunately I will have to re-home 4 to 5 because I now only have 5 female runners and limited on the size of flock due to convenance. The father drake was a calm cucumber with lots of personality, which is why when he was taken by a hawk I decided to hatch out his offspring. But I just have an excess currently. If you live in the DFW area or in Texas and might want to add a black runner drake to your flock let me know. They are extremely fun.

I still have black runner drakes that need a home. They were intended to go to someone, but they had some unforeseen circumstances and were no longer able to take them. I am willing to travel to give them a good home. Please let me know if you are interested in one or more.

Where did you start your flock from? Hatchery or?

i got mine from metzer originally. It took an extra day forthem to get here but all survived thanks to their food/water jell they put in with them. I originally ordered three chocolate runners and one black runner male. When I hatch their babies they all ended up being black runners.
