I just got 3 free roos, i'm not sure what the 2 big ones are though...

they are both golden, completely golden except for a few feathers on their tails, the big one has very light gray/gold & the smaller one had gold & black on the short feathers.

They are HUGE! I was thinking maybe a giant since the big one it almost the same weight as my little cocker spaniel mix!

Their combs are single, not too big/tall, very well proportioned.

LEGS ARE PINK!

that was my first guess, but they are a lot darker than all my girls. are the roos usually darker in that breed?

Okay! I got a good look at them this morning, They are both almost identical except 1 is a little larger than the other. the bigger roo has gold with black speckles on some of his tail feathers, but no where else. The previous owners did a nasty looking job on wing clipping too

. He was pretty scared but was fine after i was holding him for a minute. didn't make much noise & very relaxed. Very heavy too. He is much larger than my old buff orp hen but maybe hes just big? the smaller roo has some half gold half black feathers in his tail & hasn't grown in all his tail feathers yet it looks like. Here's the pictures, let me know what you think.

Also, the legs are pinkish in color.
This is the roo & a BO hen in some pics...

I have several Buff Orps and yours look a LOT like mine. Our roo is huge too & has some black in his tail feathers and some of our pullets have a little black in their tail feathers. However, to me, it looks like the smaller one in your pic is actually a pullet.

Yes, the smaller one is a female, shes an older hen, i just put her there for size comparison.

Well you sure have a pretty roo. We named ours Sunny since he's like the bright golden color of the sun.

Now, if I could just convince my gals to start laying eggs, then I'd be content.
