Freedom Rangers' Eggs: Are they Always smallish

My freedom rangers lay huge eggs.

Mine are getting pretty old so they don't lay as many eggs as they used to, but they were surprisingly good laying hens when they were younger.

Mine have been laying for a couple months and the eggs are still on the small side, not as small as the first few pullet eggs, but still not "normal" size. I have not weighed them or compared to commercial eggs, but they look pretty small compared to my Delaware, RIR, BO and EE eggs.

Have you restricted their diet. I feed mine in the morning and let them clean it up. I also feed them collard greens. They now seem more active than when they were younger.

My (tyson) cornish X pullets aren't quite to laying age, but the farmer that gave them to me said I can look forward to extra large eggs.

We've been getting Ranger eggs for about 6 days (age 17 weeks). At least 2 of our 6 pullets are now laying. The first egg came separate from the soft shell, the rest had shells and were pullet to medium sized. I think one hen is a couple of days ahead of the other(s). Today there was an egg larger than a large storebought egg. So I'd say they do get bigger!
