Freedom Rangers

I have started letting mine actually FREE range now that they are as big as (and bigger than some)of my regular birds.
That gives them about 2 acres since they cant get through or over the cow fence. They are all around the house and garage and definitely ranging quiet far!
They go back into the cargo container at night and during the day if they want a nap.
SO FAR the hawks have left them alone. They sound like babies (maybe a little deeper voiced) but look like full grown birds.
I made the mistake of opening the garage door today and had them all run in. But they are so young they don't shoo out like a grown bird. They just looked at me like I was a crazy flapping hen! I had to get feed and lead them all outside for a snack!
They are hunting a pecking and eating grass!! YAY! LESS COST! and they had feed in the C Container so they prefer being out and about.

Beautiful pictures ! How old are they? And what do you mean cargo container? I'm trying to figure out details for my first set of meat chickens in about a month ... So I appreciate everyone's help!

Oh haha thanks BMaverick. I'm pretty sure neither of those are used to house chickens, which is why I asked the OP.

HAHAHA Yes... Mine ARE in one like the top Cargo Container! Cream colored and not blue. I ran out of room in the barn and garage so I made do with what I could find. It will be too hot for summer use but is wonderful in winter as it holds heat. I do have to keep the door cracked or the humidity gets very high and it basically rains down the walls.
Usually I just store Hay in it. I will try and get a pic this week. If you look in the background you may can tell in some if the younger pics when you look at the walls.

see the walls below!

And Look in the background here!

Mine are 7 Weeks now 1/20/13, OPs are a Lot older now...

I took these yesterday to show size! This is my 8year old Silkie Roo who is a bit large for a silkie. He is My Baby Daddy Bird. He LOVES to raise babies so he got the meat bird group to raise and teach danger sky alert alarm and here is food sounds. They are getting so big I will have to remove him soon from his duties! He is the same bird that was having neurological issues a year ago and was bending his head back and walking backwards....He has survived a lot in 8 years!

Wow how strange ... But I guess whatever works for you. I was looking for advice, but I sure don't have anything like that lying around! Thanks just the same,

OK FREE freeranging has been put on hold! The little monsters associate ALL humans with food so they have been chasing us to the cars but once into the car and out of sight they would leave. Today they started following the car with my husband in it. I noticed and ran out with bread and stopped them as they bound up the road after him!. A couple hours later I hear screaming and honking...well they saw my across the street neighbor at her mailbox and ran for her! I live on a fairly busy road so I have a running lady, chickens running everywhere blocking traffic...it was so embarrassing! I managed to round them up and got a bucket of feed and lured them into the cow pasture. I cant have them in the road and scaring poor little old ladies! I think the Stupid Slow Cornish X and looking better for next time! These things are fairly intelligent and really fast! It looked like a dinosaur horror movie! I am worn out and not sure what to do with them. Its suppose to rain tonight and they are laying along the fence instead of going in the cow barn. I guess I will have to pick each one up and put them in a stall. Ughhhhhhhh CHICKENS!!!!
